Biography

With more than 25 years of experience, Attorney Steven P. Sabra concentrates his practice in the areas of personal injury law, workers' compensation, criminal defense and wills and estates. He is a past president of both the Fall River Bar Association and the Bristol County Bar Association and is a current member of its Executive Committee. Attorney Sabra was appointed by the Justices of the Supreme Judicial Court to a four-year term as a member of the Board of Bar Overseers. He is also a lecturer in personal injury law and trial practice for Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education and the Massachusetts Bar Association and is an arbitrator of the American Arbitration Association for accident claims. Attorney Sabra is a member of the Southeastern Regional Committee of the Judicial Nominating Council. He was elected as a Fellow of the Massachusetts Bar Foundation and was a regional delegate to the Board of Delegates of the Massachusetts Bar Association from 1997 to 2000. He is a member of the Massachusetts Academy of Trial Attorneys and the President’s Club of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America and American Bar Association. He is a corporator of the Fall River Five Cents Savings Bank, and a past president of Fall River Line Pier, Inc. and the Fall River Port Authority.

Recognition:

Attorney Steven Sabra was presented the St. Thomas More Distinguished Attorney Award at the Red Mass on October 2, 2021. The Red Mass commemorates the start of the U.S. Supreme Court session and serves as a reminder for those involved in the justice system to serve the public by promoting social justice and fairness throughout the court system.
