The JNC is a non-partisan, non-political and non-compensated organization made up of 21 distinguished volunteers, who are appointed by the Governor from a cross-section of Massachusetts’ Commonwealth’s varied population.

National Association Of Letter Carriers | U.S.A.

Personal Injury Attorney Steven Sabra (son of Peter B. Sabra, a former letter carrier) spoke at a letter courier meeting on June of 2015, to advise letter carriers of their rights and what to do if they slip and fall or receive a dog bite on their daily route.

As A Letter Carrier, What Should I Do If I Slip And Fall Or Get A Dog Bite On Customer’s Property?

The Postal Service no longer automatically files a claim for personal injury accidents for letter carriers, so it’s important that you know what you should do in case of an incident. After an accident occurs take pictures immediately to document what happened and call your supervisor.

What If I Don’t Want To File A Personal Injury Claim Against A Customer?

It’s understandable that you might be worried about filing a claim against a customer, but you still have rights. If you are bitten by a dog and have permanent scarring or have slip and fall sustain permanent bodily damage, you have the right to compensation to help you.
